Start++ is a little utility for Vista that allows you to setup search shortcuts that run configurable commands. For example you could setup a shortcut 'n filename' that opens the specified file in notepad.I'm not sure how useful, or otherwise, this will be yet. But it sounds like it's worth a bit of a play.Note: One of the examples the application gives is 'sudo ' which runs the command with elevated privileges, however you can actually do this by hitting 'ctrl + shift + enter' once you've typed your command in the search box, so it's a bit redundant really.
